By leveraging expertise in cloud services, networking, and system administration, this position aims to optimise technology utilisation across the organisation, driving innovation and enabling seamless collaboration.
Reporting directly to the Information Service Supervisor, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and Azure services. Ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance of systems.Oversee server infrastructure, including Hyper-V, VMWare, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Ensure robust management of on-premises and cloud environments.Design and implement office networks (LAN/WAN), firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi solutions. Maintain network security policies and manage endpoint protection using Microsoft Defender and Crowdstrike.Lead the implementation and management of SSO solutions, specifically with Azure AD/Entra ID, and ensure seamless access for users Completing effective change management processes to manage implementation risks of new solutions.Utilize PowerShell and other automation tools to streamline administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency.What you will bring To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.Mid to High-level industry qualifications from vendors like Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, and/or VMware.Deep understanding of networking principles and experience deploying office networks.Proven experience with Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, and hybrid environments.Familiarity with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, to enhance automation.Experience managing and securing Windows Endpoints using Intune.Strong knowledge of server infrastructure management tools and practices.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to assist and mentor junior staff.Familiarity with ITIL framework and experience applying its principles.Experience with Apple iOS and Android device configuration.Understanding of backup and disaster recovery.What's on offer We know there are many aspects of our employees' lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.
