Job Description Systems Analyst 12 month contract starting January 2025 Hybrid opportunity based in Canberra Active NV1 essential Use your in-depth knowledge of IT Service Management to deliver outcomes.
Provide expert advice on the subject matter of ITSM and on the software product ESM.
You work closely with customers, end user representatives of the customer and IT managers in charge of Service Management to produce expected deliverables.
The Systems Analyst will operate with a significant degree of independence and will work under the broad guidance of a section Director to deliver quality outcomes.
They operate with a high level of autonomy, with decision-making highly dependent on their own judgement.
Primary Technologies: Enterprise Service Management Software Service Management subject matter ITIL.
Duties Include: Stakeholder Engagement to elicit requirements.
Conduct end user workshops to formulate requirements.
Collaboration with ITSM SME's and leadership for business process requirement.
Documenting business requirements in the form of epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Capture nonfunctional requirements.
Analysis and documentation of as-is state, mapping the to-be state and respective data flows.
Contribution to user testing in terms of reviewing UAT artefacts and providing consultancy on requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria.
Work with application vendor representatives for problem resolution.
Collaborate with project management team in regard to system deployment.
Skills Required: Must have a minimum 5 years' experience in undertaking the same or similar role.
Systems and/or business analyst experience with Commonwealth agencies / Government Departments.
Systems and/or business analyst experience with Service Management Tool uplift.
Desirable Skills: Systems Analyst and/or Business Analyst experience with business improvement initiatives and business transformational projects.
Expert user of Visio, JIRA.
Good understanding of with BPM tools (BPMN and UML).
Experience supporting user acceptance testing.
Exceptional facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Effective influencing, communication, negotiation skills.
ITIL Certification.
