Job DescriptionAbout the role Reporting directly to the CIO, the Systems Administrator and Analyst serves as a key technical expert responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimisation of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system. The role ensures the system's smooth operation and alignment with institutional goals as outlined in the strategic plan. The Administrator and Analyst will support essential business processes such as student enrolment and record management, collaborating extensively with internal stakeholders across academic and administrative departments.
This role will oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and security while also performing business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements. The Administrator will facilitate data reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of institutional reports while safeguarding data integrity.
Additionally, the role will act as the technical liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, ensuring that PeopleSoft remains a reliable and effective tool for the college's operational and academic success.
Essential skills / attributesIn-depth understanding of data security principles and best practices for protecting sensitive student information.Solid experience as a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator and/or Analyst in a higher education environment, focusing on Campus Solutions modules.Experience in upgrading ERP systems, particularly Oracle PeopleSoft, including module setup, customisation, and configuration.Experience managing or contributing to technology projects in a higher education setting, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-launch support.Proven experience providing technical support for applications, diagnosing, and resolving system issues in collaboration with Support.A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Preferred skills / attributesExperience in integrating PeopleSoft with other systems (e.g., identity management systems, learning management systems, financial systems).Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle DB) and using SQL for data extraction, reporting, and analysis.PeopleSoft Certifications: Oracle certifications in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, PeopleTools, or other related PeopleSoft areas are highly desirable.For a full list of knowledge, experience and skills requirements, please view the job description.
