In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft on-premises solutions, VMWare on-premises solutions, Essential 8 security uplifts, Firewall installs, Switch configurations, and Azure Cloud and Networking solutions.
Additionally, you will mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring that all work is completed within defined timeframes and to the highest quality standards.RequirementsHere's what you'll be doing: Lead and execute small paid pieces of work from conception to completion.Define the scope and quote on the work.Daily time tracking for billable hours related to all tasks.Create detailed technical documentation for implemented solutions and configurations.Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.Handover the completed work to BAU Teams.Log billable time for documentation tasks.Interface with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.Communicate the ticket status, issues, and resolutions effectively.Bill time accurately for client interactions.Here's what you'll bring:Proficient in Linux and Windows server administration.Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task execution.Broad range of systems, network, cloud, Microsoft and security products.Knowledge of common Networking infrastructure, and Azure networking.Experience with Aruba, FortiNet and Juniper hardware.Clearpass or NPS experience.Track billable time for security-related tasks.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar client-facing role, preferably in a Managed Services environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Please note that all team members must have a valid state-based Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police check, and be authorised to work in Australia.
