The Opportunity     As a full-time permanent  Systems Administrator  at Shine, you'll support our progressive and authentic firm as we champion what's right.
Reporting to the Team Leader - Infrastructure, and based out of our Brisbane head office, you'll bring a strong customer service focus to resolve IT issues creatively and effectively.
Responsible for the efficient administration and day to day maintenance of Shine's IT systems, you'll perform day to day maintenance of servers and network hardware, evaluate new technologies, perform patching and compliance activities, respond to incidents and assist with project works efficiently and effectively.
You'll assist us with our upcoming transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, using tools such as InTune and SCCM.

Our Infrastructure team are collaborative, supportive people, who love bouncing ideas off each other.
You'll also gain valuable cross-team knowledge working as part of the broader IT Operations team.
You'll be working in a full Microsoft shop, in a primarily Azure environment.
We've had good investment in this space, so you'll work across a broad range of modern tech.
We're also really passionate about cybersecurity, so you'll gain plenty of exposure to this space, too.
Here's how you'll help us stay ahead of the pack:     Act as an escalation point for complex cases raised through the Service Desk and Applications teams.
Assist with projects, including our upcoming Windows 10 to Windows 11 transition.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues as they arise.
Ensure adequate data protection measures are in place and tested on a regular basis.
Monitor and maintain the security of IT infrastructure within the business.
Monitor and manage software deployments including monthly patching.
Act as an Infrastructure resource for business and IT projects.
Creation and maintenance of documentation of the environment's configuration and operational processes.
Assist with the implementation of new/refurb branches and decommissioning activities.
What you'll bring.
To thrive in this role, you'll have:   Strong skills and demonstrated experience with SOE development, software deployment and software update methods using Intune and SCCM in Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration skills on Server 2016, 2019 and 2022.
Demonstrated success in a prior System Administration role working in a hybrid-cloud environment utilising Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
SQL Server Administration – installation, backup and recovery, clusters.
Demonstrated understanding of Public Key Infrastructure and experience creating and renewing certificates for services.
Ability to create and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts.
Understanding of Cyber Security prevention and incident response including end point protection, email protection, identifying threats and post incident recovery.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in networking including key concepts e.g.
DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, wireless and cabling are desirable, but not essential for success.
Experience working with backup products such as Cohesity highly desirable.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
