The IT team is responsible for the development, operation and support of all information systems and related technologies across LAQ. The area has the responsibility for the development and support of all corporate wide business applications and the associated underlying information technology infrastructure, including a state wide data telecommunications network.
The systems administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of LAQ's IT infrastructure and data network.
In this role you will:
Provide second and third level support and maintenance of LAQ's system and network infrastructureParticipate in a team of technical specialists to undertake the development, configuration and implementation of new initiatives and solutions within a large ICT environmentUndertake change management activities associated with infrastructure provisioningResearch and provide advice in the continuous improvement of existing IT infrastructure and evaluation of new and emerging technologiesUnderstand client's business drivers and contribute to client relationships by assisting in the performance analysis of infrastructure environments and making recommendations for improvementProvide feedback to clients regarding the status of problems and service requests to ensure that agreed service levels and client service standards are achievedLiaise effectively with clients, multi-disciplinary technology groups and external stakeholders on enterprise infrastructure mattersMaintain knowledge of current trends, industry and technology directions and product road maps for enterprise infrastructure technology, while also monitoring Operating System and Application update and release cycles in a Microsoft environment.Implement, maintain and support communication and server related software and hardware infrastructure for the LAQ networkManage the upgrade of servers including maintenance of hardware and softwareConditions and benefits of working for Legal Aid Queensland36.2525 hrs per week (full time hours)12.75% employer super contributionsGenerous salary packaging availableStudy leave for approved work-related courses.To apply for this role, you will need to provide:a cover letter about what you can bring to the role.a written statement (2 pages) on how you have demonstrated the capabilities outlined in the 'About You' section of the attached position descriptionyour resume/CV that details your relevant experience, work history and qualifications, andtwo referees.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity .
