About the Role  Please note that this is a 6-month parental leave cover.
Working alongside with the ITS team, the Systems Administrator will ensure that information systems are secure, stable, and high performing. They will align these systems with IT and Company strategies, ensuring that best-of-breed technology is available to users and provides significant value to the business.
Your key responsibilities will include: 
Maintain and support corporate information systems to a high standard. Ensure systems remain stable, performant and up to date by monitoring and performing maintenance, including patching, monitoring backups and system health, and responding to alerts. Follow direction from the Senior Systems Administrator to ensure best practises are followed for all activities. Ensure a highly responsive service is provided to users by troubleshooting and responding to escalated complex information systems incidents and service requests using an ITIL aligned ITSM tool. Maintain on-premises and cloud-hosted Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server and AWS Linux, including Active Directory, IIS and Apache web servers, and print services. Provide robust and cost-effective management of SaaS and cloud solutions, including Azure services (Azure AD/Intune/etc.) and AWS compute platform (EC2, RDS, VPC etc.). Ensure system communications are seamless to users by managing our corporate network connectivity using SD-WAN technology, switches, and Wi-Fi. This includes monitoring, patching, upgrading and feature enhancements. Assist the ITS Delivery Lead with upgrading and building new systems and defining processes with an automation first mindset to ensure efficient operation of IT Services and the business. About You
 
We are seeking an excellent communicator who can work effectively across all levels and business units, and who can operate autonomously.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated keen interest in IT systems and technology, including IT hardware, software, and Microsoft services.
To be successful in this contract role, you will need: 
Tertiary qualification in an associated business discipline (Information Technology, Computer Science etc.). Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the business with varying levels of IT knowledge. Familiarity with maintaining corporate systems such as Microsoft 365 (Exchange / SharePoint / Teams / Intune), Active Directory and Windows Server infrastructure hosted on Hyper-V, AWS and Azure Cloud platforms. Strong fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with ITSM tools, including incident, service request and change management. Experience with automation scripting to support efficient and effective work practices (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Bash etc.) Strong attention to detail and accuracy when accomplishing a task, including excellent, follow through and follow up skills. You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
