We are currently seeking a permanent full time Systems Accountant with SAP experience to join our Brisbane team in South Bank.

About the Role: We are now seeking a Systems Accountant to join the finance function of our Brisbane head office, with responsibility for the maintenance and enhancement of the ERP and data systems.
You will also be involved with training finance and non-finance staff on the system's capabilities, with a particular focus on S/4HANA Public Cloud edition – Finance modules.
Key Responsibilities: • Act as the subject matter expert for BUMA's S/4HANA Public Cloud edition Finance solution and provide expert advice to key stakeholders and end-users • Identify pain points and impediments in the use of S/4HANA Public Cloud edition in consultation with key stakeholders and end-users • Undertake a maturity assessment of finance and accounting processes and recommend process improvements • Lead workshops for requirements gathering for system improvement initiatives • Design and develop reporting and system functions to meet the finance team's requirements • Collaborate with Finance SMEs, Technology team and service providers for scoping, budgeting and delivery of system improvement initiatives • Implement, configure and maintain the ERP and data systems • Ensure data integrity across systems, perform G/L mapping, cost centre mapping, and handle other complex mapping tasks that are not achievable within the system • Develop and implement comprehensive user guides and training programs for BUMA's S/4HANA Public Cloud edition within the Finance modules • Troubleshoot and resolve Finance issues related to the SAP system • Coordinate with service providers to resolve incidents and service requests • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the use of the ERP and data systems to ensure its security, reliability and effectiveness • Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills and understanding of the BUMA technical landscape and mining practices It is expected that this position works from the BUMA South Brisbane office five days a week.
Occasional travel to site may be required.
About You: • 5 years' experience working in finance or accounting roles • Strong understanding of SAP Cloud cross-functional integration, specifically with Supply Chain and Asset Management modules • Experience in implementing or supporting S/4HANA Public Cloud edition with an understanding of SAP BTP • Familiarity with API integrations and Power Apps for enhancing system workflows and developing tailored applications are desirable • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders at all levels To be considered for this opportunity please click "Apply Now" to submit your application!
