JASCO is currently looking for a talented and passionate Accounting Manager in our Brisbane, Australia location.
Position Overview Reporting to the Corporate CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of JASCO Australia, located in Brisbane, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, tax and compliance and banking relationships.
The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the administration of the office including but not limited to travel, office supplies, and day-to-day administrative support.
Role Requirements A recognized College Diploma or University Degree in Business, Accounting, or Commerce Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role Technically inclined with advanced knowledge of MSOffice Suite Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounting software Understanding financial business case and commercial risk management Experience in understanding payment terms, Australia tax laws, and general accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, sub-ledger and general ledger entries and reconciliations and payroll processing Experience in developing new tools, techniques, and processes to improve the quality and efficiency of the position Additional Skills and Abilities Required Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and trust and work within the confidential constraint of the position Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written in a variety of circumstances Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally Ability to work independently and show initiative Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of tasks and processes to maintain consistent quality in accomplishing tasks Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge required to remain up-to-date in job-specific areas Focused on customer satisfaction by anticipating and addressing issues that pose a threat to customer satisfaction Why Work for JASCO: Competitive salary and superannuation package commensurate with knowledge, skills, and abilities.
