Description   About the role   To develop and maintain an effective working knowledge of RACQ's financial systems and ensure the delivery of high-quality support to key decision makers within RACQ.
This position represents an important link between the services that are managed by the IT and Finance Divisions.
This role is considered integral to leveraging the combined strengths of each division to deliver process efficiencies and technology improvements as well as good quality information on a timely basis.
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities include:   Working as a key member of the team to plan for and implement changes in RACQ's financial systems.
Advising management of any issues that exist within the master data for the financial systems.
Working with finance and IT teams to ensure that good quality system process documentation is developed and maintained.
Supporting end-of-month and end-of-year processes by ensuring that all essential data management processes have been fully completed and reconciled where appropriate.
Adding value to Projects across the RACQ Group that will enhance the quality of information, improve system processes and support a culture of constant improvement.
Assist various Finance teams with key data extracts and insights to allow   financial reconciliations between the general ledger and other integrated systems.
Ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial transactions between systems.
About you   You will have experience in a similar role with both accounting and IT abilities to work in a complex business environment.
Proven experience within an environment that manages a high volume of financial transactions through complex integrated computer systems to deliver accurate results.
Hands on working experience with complex and highly integrated financial systems.
Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and SQL Server Management Studio.
Proven report writing skills using SQL or AWS S3.
High level of analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent financial analysis and project management skills to successfully deliver change.
Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and the ability to accurately accurate reports from large volumes of financial information in a timely manner.
Working knowledge of database functions, capabilities and concepts including the principles of design and timing to allow periodic reconciliation of source transactional systems to financial reporting systems.
A high level of fluency in writing concise, accurate and technically correct business documents.
