System Performance Administrative Officer Location: East Perth Unit/Division: System Performance Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Permanent - Full Time Join us to deliver services that support and improve the health of Western Australians The Department of Health is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight and management of the WA health system, operating at arm's length from health service delivery. We operate in a corporate environment, and do not deliver front line health services to the community. At the Department of Health, our mission is to lead and steward the WA health system, made up of eight independent Health Services Providers. Covering 2.5 million square kilometres, our 50,000-strong workforce delivers health services across the largest health authority in the world. The System Performance team is seeking to establish a pool of motivated applicants seeking a role supporting a central function of the Department of Health. The System Performance Administrative Officer provides executive and project support for the Health Service Provider Performance Review Meetings. The successful applicant will deliver team functions including meeting coordination and administration and support program management. Your new role: This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent and Fixed Term Full Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. We currently have one permanent, full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. What are we looking for? Ideal candidates for this role will have experience in providing administrative support at a senior level and sound organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and maintain good working relationships to achieve positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a can-do attitude. Key Responsibilities: Responsibility for ensuring health service providers in WA meet the expected standard of performance under the Performance Management Policy. Developing and managing performance indicators and targets that define the expected standard of performance for the WA Health System. Co-ordinating the Health Service Performance Report and associated quarterly Performance Review Meetings with the Health Service Providers. Provide or co-ordinate briefings on system-wide performance measures such as emergency department access and elective surgery waitlists.
