The Client: An ASX-listed asset management company, recognised as one of the fastest-growing in the industry. Specialising in diversified financial services and entrepreneurial ventures for blue chip clientele.
The Role: A hands-on, multifaceted role where you will be managing system administration and advanced technical support to users for hardware, software, and network issues.
Identify the root cause of issues and resolve complex technical problems, escalating to specialised teams as needed. Oversee and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications. Conduct regular updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure system performance and security. Monitor system performance and apply necessary enhancements. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Maintain and enhance network security, performance, and reliability. Provide training and guidance on IT systems and best practices to users. Develop and maintain detailed IT documentation, such as user guides and technical manuals. Work with other departments to understand and fulfill their IT requirements. Ensure project completion on time, within scope, and on budget. Implement and enforce IT security protocols and procedures. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. This is a Hybrid working environment: 3 days WFH / 2 in office.
Ideally, you will have:
At least 5+ years in a Systems Admin & Tech Support Engineer role in a complex / enterprise environment. Solid background in Windows/Linux OS, networking, and server administration. Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or AWS preferred). Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), remote desktop applications, and issue tracking software.
