THE ROLE As a YMCA Swim Teacher, reporting to the Swim School Manager, you will:
Embrace the YMCA philosophy in relation to aquatic programs and uphold high educational and teaching standards.Deliver safe, effective, and professional swimming lessons with enthusiasm, patience, and innovation.Implement engaging lesson plans that promote group teaching methods, focusing on both stroke development and water safety.Foster student interaction and collaboration through thoughtfully structured activities.Collaborate with your team to create a supportive and welcoming environment for all.Set a positive example for parents by effectively communicating, guiding, and establishing clear boundaries and expectations for children.Commit to continuous learning and professional development.Show respect and understanding for individuals of all talents, abilities, and backgrounds.If you are passionate about teaching swimming and want to make a difference in the lives of young swimmers, we invite you to apply and become part of our friendly team!
