About the Role TAFE SA is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our Automotive Workgroup as a Lecturer in Automotive.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with hands-on industry experience to contribute to the training and development of the next generation of automotive professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality training to students in the Automotive programs, including Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Auto Electrical, and other relevant trades. Develop, implement, and review learning materials that incorporate flexible delivery methodologies and industry best practices. Maintain current knowledge of technical skills, industry standards, and e-learning platforms to support the learning experience of students. Collaborate with industry stakeholders to ensure training meets workforce needs and aligns with ASQA requirements. The successful applicant will have: Trade Qualifications: Certificate III (minimum) in Automotive, ideally dual trade qualification in areas like Auto Electrical, Marine, Mobile Plant, Motorcycle, or Small Engine. Training Qualifications: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 or later) or currently working towards it. Experience: Proven industry experience in automotive trades and established relationships with industry stakeholders. Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant technology, software packages, and learning management platforms used in Automotive Vehicle programs. Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential. Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA. A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential. Essential - Applying Work Health and Safety (WH&S) and Return to Work legislative requirements in business activities for which the position is responsible, whilst ensuring compliance to Agency WH&S policies, procedures and processes including the identification, assessment and control of risks and evaluation of mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of injury and/or disease.
