Sustainable Mining Engineer Partner ERM is seeking motivated candidates to join us as a Partner for our Mining Engineering team and assist with our rapid growth across our Sustainable Mining business in ANZ. The ideal candidates bring significant consulting experience and client relationships, to provide technical leadership and strategic direction to grow the business in Perth.
Since the acquisition of CSA Global (a leading geological and mining consulting company) in 2019, ERM has been innovating our mining and sustainability service offerings tailored for our clients and we have built strong, trust-based relationships with them.
The Partner for Mine Engineering will work closely with clients as well as our local practitioners to ensure that we offer sustainable solutions to our clients in the APAC region and globally.
The area you will be supporting our clients in is particularly focused on Mining Engineering at all stages of projects. Therefore, to be successful in this position, you will need to be highly experienced in mining engineering processes and mining operations, with strong business and operational experience.
THE OPPORTUNITY: As a senior leader, you will be accountable for successfully selling and consulting on projects to help grow our ANZ business locally in Perth, while networking with ERM's Global Client Account leaders and Technical Communities to share best practices. We are seeking individuals who enjoy working closely with clients to help them address challenging mining issues. ERM has a fantastic client base and very interesting projects that sees our team delivering on large and technically challenging projects. Our go-to-market model enables our Partners to build longer-term, deep relationships with clients and you will have the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
ROLE PROFILE: Play a key role in growing the business with a primary focus on client account development, sales, and project execution to deliver strategic value to our clients across various sectors. Generate sales from new and existing clients to meet personal and/or team sales targets. Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with target clients aligned with ERM's global strategy. Lead opportunity chase teams to identify and secure opportunities with clients that fit within ERM's value proposition. Provide business value selling at the top levels of client organizations, raising the profile of ERM's capabilities within key client organizations. Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service. Maintain pulse on industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential, top opportunities. Contribute to leadership and management of major projects for ERM's clients. Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to employees. Support the growth and development of the relevant technical communities through actively collaborating with colleagues across the globe. Accountabilities: Ore Reserve estimation and report generation as well as sign-off according to the JORC Code, as a Competent Person, or to the Canadian CIM /NI43-101 requirements as a Qualified Person. Develop and implement strategic business plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand ERM's Sustainable Mining Services and relevant client base. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Ensure the accuracy and quality of all team deliverables. Achieve client's expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Requirements: The ideal candidate has experience providing consultancy services for Mine Engineering and Sustainable Mining projects. Experience with software packages utilized in Optimisation Studies and the Ore Reserve Estimation process. A Member or Fellow of a professional mining organisation (AusIMM or equivalent), Competent Person status for at least two commodities. Strong existing local (Perth, WA) networks and relationships. Ability to provide excellent project delivery and client service, quality on project deliverables, excellent communication and organizational skills.
