To help us achieve this we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of the regional sustainable agricultural program in alignment with state and regional priorities.
The Sustainable Agriculture Program Manager is responsible for leading the existing team to develop and manage projects supporting regional objectives for productive and sustainable agriculture in northern Tasmania. This will include active engagement with land managers, farmers, and the community to build their capacity to adopt improved land management practices.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Agriculture or Environmental Science or similar and/or equivalent work experience relevant to the role.Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in applying project governance structures, sustainable agriculture and natural resource management principles and practices.Knowledge of the appropriate application of traditional land management practices in consultation with Aboriginal or Indigenous Community Leaders.Strong relationship management skills in the agricultural or natural resource management sector.Exceptional skills in leading and motivating a team in pursuit of common goals.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.To apply, please provide a Short Form Application outlining your experience, skills and knowledge as they relate to the Selection Criteria and, a copy of your current Resumé/CV (maximum four pages)
