Sustainability Officer, Strategy and Planning, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health ServiceAn exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Strategy, Planning and Infrastructure Services team as a Sustainability Officer. You will be responsible for supporting, managing, and leading the development and maintenance of effective strategies, policies, governance, data systems, standards, and frameworks to deliver strategic, consistent, and integrated approaches for environmental sustainability initiatives and programs across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

About you: Drive policies and initiatives that reduce or optimise HHS's consumption of electricity usage, fuel, water, and generation of waste, including through its management of infrastructure and assets, procurement, and other relevant operational areas to ensure efficient use of resources.Provide expert advice, direction, and guidance to stakeholders relating to projects, programs, and initiatives under the key strategic elements of the sustainability strategy.Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the Department of Health's Office of Hospital Sustainability and sustainability partners across Queensland Health organisations and other Qld government agencies, facilitating a reciprocal exchange of information, ideas, and opportunities to effectively advance the development or implementation of the sustainability strategy.As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive remuneration, you will also have access to:
