The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is a not for profit, membership-based organisation leading the way in surgical performance, professionalism and patient care in Australia and New Zealand.
With service to our members at the forefront of our business, we support ongoing learning and development for our surgical workforce of more than 7,000 surgeons and 1,300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates.
RACS is on an exciting journey to transform the way our members engage with us by making improvements across many aspects of the College - from learning and development to technology and governance. We are focusing on collaboration and innovation to better serve our members and to enhance the contribution of surgeons to the community.
Our Global Health Program focuses on strengthening health systems and building capacity of health workforce to improve the quality and accessibility of health, surgical treatment and post-operative care. We work across 15 countries in the Indo-Pacific Region with the support of multiple institutional and philanthropic donors.
About the role To proactively identify, secure, manage and optimize institutional funding from a range of technical donors, such as the Australian Government through DFAT and other bodies and organisations.
A key objective is to create a diversified and sustainable funding base to support ongoing implementation of the RACS Global Health Strategy and Program in the Indo-Pacific region.
Skills and experience Post-graduate qualification (Business, International Development or related field) supported by an extensive international or national level not-for-profit (NFP) fundraising experience. Proven effective relationship management, strategy and planning Excellent research, writing and project management skills Experience with managing complex, donor-funded programs in the Indo-Pacific region. Extensive knowledge of DFAT accreditation and ACFID and CID assessment At our organisation, we are proud to have a positive impact on improving health outcomes in the community.
