Support Workers – Wollongong

We are seeking caring and reliable Support Workers to assist our disability clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Locations: Wollongong Area
Salary: from $30 per hour and upward commensurate with experience
Schedule: Various shifts available, Monday-Sunday, Day, Evening and Overnight.
Duties include: Assistance with personal careDomestic assistance – including some cleaning and meal preparationPromoting independence and support to achieve goalsMaintaining the Behavioural Support PlanAssisting with appointments and transport needsEngaging the client with access to community and social support opportunitiesMonitoring the administration of medicationAbout You: Genuine care and aptitude for working with and supporting people with disabilityEmpathy, a caring, nurturing nature, and patienceTrustworthy, honest, behaving with integrity and respectPositive, friendly, hopeful, and encouragingPractical problem solvers and do-ersYour experience, highly regarded but not essential: 1-year minimum experience as a paid Disability Support WorkerExperience working one-to-one with individuals with physical disabilities and mental healthEssential licenses and certificates (must be current to apply): Minimum Certificate III in Disability or similar qualification and experience in related fieldsNSW Driver License and Comprehensive Insurance for your carWorking With Children Check – https://wwccheck.ocg.nsw.gov.au/ApplyNDIS Worker Check – https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/ndiswc-applyFirst Aid and CPRWork Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Preferred)
