Care & Support Worker – EAST Cornwall Team Corserv Care - Care & Support service (Homecare/long term care) are recruiting Support Workers to provide care and support to our clients in their homes. What you'll be doing: Supporting service users with their daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation & housekeeping.Supporting service users to access community opportunities.Working with families, healthcare professionals, and occupational therapists.Your benefits at Corserv Care: Competitive Rates of Pay: £12.36 per hour.
Time & half enhancement on Bank Holidays, PLUS a day back in TOIL.
Time & half for overtime, over 40 hours.
Guaranteed weekly hours from 14 up to 36 hours per week.
Permanent hours available.
Guaranteed Payment of your Contracted Hours: You are always paid for a full shift, even in the event of a client cancellation. This includes travel and contact time, for a consistent and worry-free salary.
Mileage Allowance: 45p per mile. Plus, after a probation period of 6 months, you could join our 'Car Lease Scheme'.
Annual Leave: 31 days (including Bank Holidays). This is pro-rata for part-time working patterns. Option to buy extra leave.
Your development: Full training and continuous development provided, job shadowing, team support, 1:1 supervisions, and annual appraisals, with opportunities to achieve qualifications.

Shift Pattern: We are ideally looking for carers that can be very flexible to our service needs at this time. All rounds start at 7:00 – 14:00, the evening rounds start at 16:00 and finish at the latest 22:00 and working every other weekend is mandatory. You will have a regular Week A/Week B rolling rota to help promote a healthy work-life balance, and for ease of mind.

Wellbeing Events Locations: You will join the EAST CORNWALL team and support our clients in the East areas of Cornwall. Some clients will be in close proximity to your home location and some you will need to travel to. We have requirements to provide care in Saltash, Torpoint, Liskeard, Callington, Launceston, Bodmin, and other locations within East Cornwall. We will discuss how the team covers the areas at interview.
Essential Skills: You must have a FULL DRIVING LICENCE that's valid to drive in the UK and a vehicle.Current right to work in the UK.An understanding of domiciliary care.Good verbal and written communication skills.Basic IT Skills.Empathy and a passion to support others.Excellent attention to detail.Great time management.Desirable Skills: Previous care experience.Some experience in supporting vulnerable adults in need – either informally or in paid employment.Our values: Committed, kind, caring and compassionate.
