Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network - Whyalla OPS2 | Full Time | Temporary (up to 13 June 2025) Base Salary Range: $58,709 - $63,154 p.a. In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging). About the Role: As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive, integrated, and evidence-based approach to mental health care across the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network. Your contributions will directly support consumers on their journey to recovery, providing essential psychosocial support across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.

Working under the guidance of skilled clinicians, you will offer non-clinical, hands-on support to individuals living with mental health challenges, assisting them in achieving their personal recovery goals. In this role, you'll help both consumers and service providers embrace the principles of recovery and rehabilitation, acting as a dedicated advocate for wellness, empowerment, and positive change.

Your day-to-day tasks will be practical and rewarding, providing critical assistance that enables consumers to meet their individual goals as outlined in their care plans. By empowering others and fostering hope, you will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those navigating mental health challenges.

About You: Experience in reporting to and liaising with multiple stakeholders across the spectrum of community services or health. Experience in working with people who have health and/or mental health related issues. Experience in working within a community services team environment and successful participation in such a setting. Experience in Microsoft Office software packages including word processing, desktop publishing, Excel, and Outlook. Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
