About Me  Hello! I am a 51-year-old female. I live in Goolwa North, with two housemates. I enjoy going to my music group in Victor Harbor and Horse Riding for the disabled. I am looking for a detail orientated Support Worker that can assist me with my genetic disorder, Cornelia DeLang, My Mum is a big part of my life, and I will need support visiting Mum and having regular facetime conversations with her.   The Role An Opportunity is available to join my team of energetic support workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me on a 2:1 model throughout the day. Due to some of the challenges I face, you will need to be trained in severe dysphagia and gastrostomy training as I receive my nutrition via a PEG.  I need assistance with all levels of personal hygiene and ensuring I keep up with my daily exercises. You will need to be able to hold my hand as I walk. I also have a wheelchair to assist me. I enjoy going out to engage in the community, and we will travel in my car, you will need to be confident in driving manual. I am seeking a Support Worker who can understand my plans and provide me with a quality life.   Key responsibilities: Assist me with Assisted daily living tasks. Assistance keeping my home neat and tidy. Meal preparation and safe food handling Personal care Manual Handling In home activities such as arts and crafts and board games Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life. Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me. Actively engage in person centred active support. Maintain accurate records. Shifts  I am looking for someone to support me on a Part Time basis. The ideal candidate will have: NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check Current Driver's Licence Current First Aid Certificate Current CPR Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification  Epilepsy Training Assist with Medication PEG Feeding About you: I am looking for an experienced person to join my team. A good match for me would be someone who is able to engage and build a strong relationship with me as I am non-verbal. You will need to be able to identify any changes that may occur. Other requirements:  Ability to implement individualised developmental programs. Flexible working hours Experience in various models of support preferred.
