Support Worker/ Home Carer Recruitment Open Day in Traralgon! Join us for our Support Worker/ Home Carer Recruitment Open Day on Wednesday 9th October 2024! Session 1 - 10:00am - 12:00pm Session 2 - 1:00pm - 3:00pm What you do matters Are you looking for a job that truly makes a difference in the lives of others? Join our team as a personal care worker providing in-home support, and be a part of our mission to help older Victorians live their best lives.
We're looking for Care workers in the Latrobe Valley, specifically in the following suburbs: Traralgon, Morwell, Churchill, Moe, Glengarry, Trafalgar, and Rawson.
We are only seeking care workers for part-time hours who have a Certificate III in Individual Support or higher, or who have completed their first year of nursing.
Supporting our elders in their homes means you are one-on-one with clients working individually.
You could help with personal care or domestic duties in the morning or evening, or keep clients connected to their community through activities they love, like walking, gardening, going out for a coffee or lunch, and transporting them to appointments.
Generally, you will visit 2-6 clients per day, approximately 1-3 hours per visit.

Paid training hours to build your skills A tablet to work on - no need to use your own phone or write everything down (training provided) Dedicated senior carers to help induct and mentor you Proudly being part of a business that values Respect, Responsibility, Community, and Spirit A proven history of internal career progression and opportunities for you to move within Benetas so your story with us continues To best support our clients, we're looking for people with: A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with older Victorians Able to work independently A reliable car and valid driver's license to drive between clients' homes and drive clients as required Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation The annual flu immunisation and a willingness to obtain each year to help keep our clients safe Ability to provide or obtain a suitability police check outcome Ability to supply or obtain current CPR (HLTAID 009) and First Aid Training Certificates (HLTAID 011) A Qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, or similar.
If you have finished your first year of a nursing qualification, that will count as a qualification.
If you do not have a qualification in aged care, individual support, nursing, or disability, you can still apply and work as a Personal Care Worker.
Your duties without a qualification will be more domestic duties, such as helping with meals and cooking and cleaning.
