Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to join our diverse team in the Wollongong/Illawarra region.
About the role: By combining traditional care with Montessori principles and methods, you will deliver support that truly respects each person's unique abilities, needs and preferences.
While our immediate needs are for workers to assist with domestic cleaning, we are growing our services on the Central Coast and looking for hard workers committed to applying a person-centred approach to support clients.
Responsibilities: Provide personal, physical, emotional and social support using a person-centred approach.Support daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medications and personal errands.Assist with domestic activities such as cleaning, laundry and household tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment.Encourage meaningful engagement by facilitating participation in social/recreational activities, community access and building healthy relationships.Support effective communication and decision-making to promote independence and wellbeing.Requirements: NDIS Worker Check.First Aid and CPR certificate.Working with Children Check.Drivers licence (preferred).Qualifications in Disability/Aged Care or relevant fields, or previous experience is highly valued.Empathy and understanding of diverse needs.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Montessori Care emerged from a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
