About the role The Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) provides services and support to migrants and refugees settling in Australia. The Program assists Clients to build the skills and knowledge they need to become self-reliant, contributing members of our society. Services delivered to HSP Clients are determined by the assessment of their needs and achieved through individualised case management plans.
In this role you will support refugees and humanitarian entrants within the HSP with entry-level information, education and practical support. In addition, you will also coordinate, supervise, train and support volunteers.
What you will bring Arabic and English language skillsWorking knowledge and relevant experience in community services and working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgroundsSound understanding of issues affecting people impacted by migrationProven ability to collaborate effectively and diplomatically with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholdersVerbal and written communication skillsSound understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and OutlookExperience in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteersWorking with vulnerable people checkDrivers licenceBenefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary. Further information This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Annual salary $73,823.36 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
