Ready for the best career you never imagined? The Port of Brisbane is a cornerstone of the Queensland economy. As the company entrusted to maintain and develop the Port and its operations, we play a vital and diverse role. And so will you. We have a newly created opportunity in our marine team for a Support Craft Supervisor. As the first point of contact to the marine Support Craft team, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring operational requirements are met and all activities are conducted in a safe, efficient and compliant manner in line with all regulatory, contractual and safety standards.
Operationally focused, effective and great with people: here's who we're looking for. You are a vessel master with tug and barge and dredging/bed leveling experience. You have a marine technical background, are highly organised with excellent administration skills. You have a good understanding of health and safety legislation and are able to role model and promote Port of Brisbane's Safety-First health and safety culture. You can build rapport with the crew and communicate effectively. You are driven to deliver results and take accountability for all assigned work. You are resilient and enjoy working within a small team environment. You are savvy with systems and continuously search for the best solution! This bit matters! We're an equal opportunity employer and we're proud of our diverse work environment. We are also on our own journey to support an even more diverse and inclusive workplace culture. We recognise the need to continue to encourage diversity and strive to have a workforce that is representative of our community. If you have any questions about our inclusivity or accessibility, please do get in touch.
Five reasons why we hope you'll apply. A diverse role where every day's different: As Support Craft Supervisor, you'll get interesting and varied work as you engage with a diverse and dispersed workforce. An important job, a powerful purpose: What we do at Port of Brisbane affects all Queenslanders and many who visit our proud state. We're here to help facilitate trade throughout South-East Queensland. Port of Brisbane is committed to making a difference. For us, sustainability is about considering our stakeholders and ensuring the decisions we make enable the Port of Brisbane to be 'Here for the Future'. A place where flexibility matters too: We expect a lot from our people, who are committed and dedicated to our mission. But in return for your efforts, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including a Healthy Lifestyle Program. A welcoming, supportive culture: You'll find so many friendly, connected people at Port of Brisbane, and our Marine team are no exception. There's always collaborative support when you need it. A proud reputation; a bright future: You'll join a company renowned for best practice in our industry, and a team that is proud of the impact we make. Bring your fresh perspectives and expertise to a team that truly values them. Ready for the best career you never imagined? Apply today!
