Support our WA based clients living with neurological conditions to access the services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)!01st October, 2024Are you an experienced Support Coordinator looking for a new challenge? As the newest member of the MSWA team, your role will be to support our clients living with neurological conditions (for example MS, Motor Neurones, Parkinson's, Huntington's Acquired Brain Injuries and Strokes) access the services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Ultimately, we're looking for someone who can strengthen both our client's and their family's ability to connect with informal, formal, and mainstream supports. This may also encompass providing Social Welfare interventions to individuals and their family, empowering people to adapt to change and achieve quality of life. Utilising your knowledge of NDIS funding, you will help our clients understand the funding set out in their plan. You'll support their budgets and assist in their request for additional funding through NDIS should they experience significant changes in their circumstance, as well as when their plan is due for renewal. By supporting our clients, you'll be making such a difference to their lives, and we can't wait to see you thrive at MSWA!Please note - whilst the role is based out of our Belmont office, you will be required to attend client home visits across the metro area. To assist with your travel, you can book one of our fleet cars, or you may expense claim certain travel costs if these are unavailable.Our 'must haves'A good understanding of NDIS funding and supporting clients with NDIS plans.NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).Community Services or Social Welfare Diploma or equivalent.Current Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.Our 'nice to haves'Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (we can help you here!)Experience in a similar role would put you in good stead!Any knowledge of community services.A little about us:We exist to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of Western Australians – whatever their needs, whatever their neuro condition.
