Due to the continual growth of the Cairns Marine Precinct, new opportunities exist within our Darwin or Cairns based Supply Support Department for enthusiastic and driven Supply Support Officers.

This dynamic role reports to the Supply Support Lead, providing general supply chain and administrative support to our In-Service Support programmes.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
Parts interpretation work requests and provide quotes.
Maintain the Inventory Management Systems (IMS).
Initiate cataloguing of new inventory items in the IMS.
Manage repairs to inventory.
Ensure the efficient and timely satisfaction of inventory demand requests.
Convert quotes into warehouse inventory demands and purchases as required.
Source the market for materials and services to continuously improve Supply Support function performance.
Organisation of port services in line with contractual requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
Provide input to Supply Support reporting requirements.
Identify and report supply support risks and opportunities.
Identification and reporting of obsolescence.
Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Must be an Australian Citizen.
A formal qualification in either a trade, logistics management, or engineering would be highly regarded.
5+ years' experience within supply support, preferably with some Defence experience.
Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
Knowledge of asset management standards and configuration management systems and processes.
Experience with supply chain management and part interpretation.
Innovative in thought, with solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Intermediate competency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory Management software such as Pronto or IFS.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
Be diligent, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with the ability to work independently when required.
