The role The Supervisor Tenures and Native Title role is pivotal in managing Crown land tenures and activities to meet government priorities, particularly in relation to Native Title and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs). This involves interpreting legislation and supporting advice to offer expert advice and support for the assessment, decision-making, and administration of tenures. Ensuring efficient management of administrative and compliance activities, and providing balanced and timely recommendations on issues, are key aspects of this role.

As Supervisor Tenures and Native Title, you will be challenged with building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks, both internally and externally, while managing conflicting and competing priorities. You will be confident in responding to complex enquiries from stakeholders with varying opinions and interests.

What you will bring to the role Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and work with stakeholders. Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve objectives. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Empathy and emotional intelligence to understand the needs and perspectives of internal and external stakeholders. Resilience and a positive attitude to persevere through obstacles and maintain productivity during challenging times. High level administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and competing demands. Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Key knowledge and experience Knowledge of and ability to interpret tenure legislation for the administration of tenure applications as they relate to Native Title. Understanding of the Native Title Act 1993 and the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.
