About Cadia Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney.
Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit.
The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we're looking for Reporting to the Superintendent– Surface Operations, the Supervisor will support the surface operations department to ensure the safe and timely achievement of targeted outcomes through a focus on project management, schedule compliance and managing daily tasks within Surface Operations.
The Supervisor – Surface Operations will be a strong people leader and have a focus on safety by ensuring a safe working environment, by understanding all site Policies, Procedures, Standards and Safety requirements.
Key responsibilities Co-ordinates the activities of the Surface Operations Team to ensure execution of approved plans for the achievement of targeted outcomes.
Conduct safety audits in line with Fatal Risk Management Identifying and actioning non compliances.
Coaching and mentoring direct reports and team members in line with Newmont Values.
Provides support for the development of a safe and competent workforce by involvement in the recruitment, training and development and specifically performance management of team members.
