About the role The Supervisor for our Maryborough depot will oversees a team of internal employees and contractors performing maintenance and construction works on the EQL network.
This role ensures the efficient delivery of assigned programs of work within time and budget constraints while managing risks to achieve optimal asset performance and meet safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities include Lead operational decision-making, balancing customer service, regulatory, and commercial requirements under tight or crisis conditions Manage day-to-day team operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues and escalating to the Construction Manager as needed Oversee project execution, adapting plans to meet changing needs while ensuring cost-effective resource management and scheduling Establish and monitor performance criteria for internal and external resources, driving accountability and achieving project goals Champion health and safety compliance, fostering a culture of care while maintaining readiness for emergency response through training and rostering Work on a 10-4 roster with travel across the state, performing tasks in diverse weather conditions About You The successful applicant will bring a proven track record in supervision, paired with a proactive attitude and the ability to inspire and drive team success.
Experience Supervising field staff and considerable working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks Previous experience working on the EQL network Leading a team within the electrical maintenance, construction environment to succeed while maintaining a strong safety focus Ability to manage project budgets, to meet and exceed performance expectations Experience writing HVAFW & LVAFW Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SAP, EQ Systems Formal technical and/or trade qualifications – Certificate III in power distribution; Hold a current Glove & Barrier Authority Current HR Drivers Licence Our people are our energy source, and we offer meaningful benefits and rewards that work for you.
