The role: Day to day management of the Health Information Services department and staff including allocation of duties, monitoring activity into the department, liaising with clinical areas. Provide human resources management activities such as recruitment, rostering, performance review and monitoring, and staff development for Health Information Services staff. Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the organisation, division, and Agency, and provide advice in relation to health information or health record topics, including escalation when outside of role or expertise. In consultation with the Manager Health Information Services, participate in goal setting, organisational planning, evaluation of department activities, and support the delivery of key portfolio activities. Undertake Digital Medical Record (DMR) and health record quality activities, this may include visits to other facilities, education, and training under the guidance of the Manager Health Information Service.
