Community Correctional Services (CCS), is overseen by Corrections Victoria, a division of the Department of Justice and Regulation. CCS is responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, clients under post sentence supervision and court orders. We embed evidence-based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made. This approach will contribute to a safer community and strengthen CCS for the future. About the role Community Correctional Services are currently recruiting three Fixed Term Supervisor based on Lonsdale Street, Melbourne CBD. As a Supervisor of the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services (CAPS) within the Melbourne CBD you will be working alongside a Team of Supervisors and supporting CAPS Officers who provide assessment and prosecutions Services to the Magistrates' and County Courts at Melbourne. As a Supervisor, your knowledge and expertise of Court processes, Community Corrections Case Management and legislation will guide you in providing leadership and guidance, ensure assessments of the needs of clients and provision of advice to the judiciary as appropriate. This Supervisor role within CAPS works to assist the Bail and Remand Court (BaRC) on a rotating roster where weekends and late nights are required. This position works a rotating roster across the extended operating hours of the Bail and Remand Court. Hours of work are nine 8.45 hour work days a fortnight. Shifts are between 0900 – 2130 seven days a week including weekends and public holidays. Appropriate remuneration will be applied for the above in accordance with applicable Victorian Public Service Agreement. CCS are recruiting one Supervisor position which will work full time until March 2025, thereafter the position will work 0.4FTE until June 2026. In addition we are recruiting one full time Supervisor position through to June 2026. The Supervisor, Drug Court is a unique role responsible for managing Drug Court Case Managers who monitor and supervise complex participants with drug and/or alcohol dependencies sentenced by the Courts to serve Drug and Alcohol Treatment Orders (DATOs) in the community.
