Our Corporate & Commercial team inMelbourne has approximately 30 staff members including 9 partnersand 14 lawyers. The role will also offer opportunities to work withour Corporate & Commercial partners and lawyers in Brisbane,Newcastle, Sydney and Perth. This is afantastic hands on corporate & commercial role, withsignificant learning and development opportunities from theexperienced and well regarded team and the opportunity to work withinteresting clients. The clients are a broad mix of listedcompanies, private investors and local privately owned companiesand not for profits. Keyresponsibilities Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for: draftingand negotiating transaction documents; workingon a range of matters relating to corporate/M&Atransactions (including due diligence), analysis of legal,contractual and other issues, and attending to regulatorymatters; liaisingwith clients and corporate and other advisers, as well as othergroups within our firm who provide specialist input on M&Atransactional issues (such as our Employment, Banking, Tax,Property and Projects colleagues); attending to completionof transactions; beingpart of a team on other commercial transactions, such ascapital raisings (private and public), joint ventures,management equity structures, etc; and othercommercial contracts (not necessarily associated with M&Atransactions) from time to time.  Skills andexperience We would liketo hear from you if you have the following skills andexperience: 1-2years of post-admission experience in corporate and commerciallaw; experience in M&Atransactions; technical excellence anda can-do attitude; and acommercially savvy approach to M&A.  Aboutus Hall &Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
