Supervisor ( Building & Construction)

Young Contractors are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a Carpentry trade and or Building background to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsible for running work scopes, and managing labour & materials from small to large new builds and refurbishment projects.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesExperience in Building IndustryCarpentry Trade would be advantageousAbility to read and interpret plansImplementation of the IMS (Integrated Management System), project specific Management Plans and / or SHEQ documentsDisplaying and making Site Safety Rules available to personnel and visitors to the siteUnderstanding building codes, Legislation, and other legal requirements specific to projectsMaintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing YBC Policy and Procedures, complying with legal requirementsEnforcing building codesApply HSE requirements, policies, and procedures to all worksManaging workplace injury, illness, and emergency management processesEnsuring that teams are working together with the sole objective of adhering to deadlines, specifications, and codesImplementing variations from the Project Manager / Project SupervisorCompleting project documentation, e.g. ITP's, Inspection Checklists, Daily Diaries, EmailsStrong business and finance knowledgeExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independentlyAttention to detail and high level of accuracy.Excellent computer skills in MS Office, Procore or similar Project Management programHighly organised self-starter and possess effective time management skillsEnsuring that construction projects are meeting deadlines and being completed in a safe and timely mannerManage crews across multiple sitesTake an active role in projects from estimation to completionSupervise construction projects by planning, organising, and controlling, completing quality inspections, supervising sub-contractors and employeesEstablish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.As Youngs is a generational company, community is an underpinning core value.
