Supervising Psychologist (Gambleaware)

Full time or part time (21 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2026. Located on the Camperdown Campus at the Brain and Mind Centre. Opportunity to provide psychological treatment (cognitive therapy) to clients experiencing gambling related harms and supervise clinical interns and staff. Base Salary, HEO8: $121,508 - $137,032 p.a. (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation. About the opportunity The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a Supervising Psychologist to be part of the GambleAware team based at the Brain and Mind Centre in Camperdown.
The Supervising Psychologist will be required to provide cognitive therapy, provide clinical supervision, and assist with regional and staff management.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Manage a small team for the GambleAware Central Sydney region including gambling counsellors, financial counsellors, and community engagement workers, under the direction of the Clinic Manager and with support from the Lead Clinical Psychologist.
Provide and/or supervise clinicians and clinical interns in treatment, assessment, and crisis intervention with clients.
Maintain client files to a high professional standard, take part in file audits, contribute to data entry, program evaluation, and report writing as required.
Participate in community engagement and development of educational materials including provision of workshops and training seminars and liaising with relevant services to effectively promote GambleAware services and referral pathways.
Contribute to the achievement of clinic and team outcomes by coordinating projects, activities, or tasks as specified by the Clinic Manager.
The successful applicant will be offered flexible work arrangements including work-from-home as appropriate, flexible hours, including the option to work on Saturdays.

A master's degree in clinical psychology or similar.
Registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Been endorsed as a clinical psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Been approved as a supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team as well as work as part of the team.
A demonstrated understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines.
Experience in supervision of clinical interns and the provision of CBT (desirable).
The ability to conduct therapy in a community language other than English (desirable).
Experience in community engagement activities (desirable).
Experience in working for not-for-profit organisations, NGOs or in a tertiary education institution or similar field (desirable).
