Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Process Engineering Superintendent to join our refinery team based on site at Murrin Murrin Operations.
Minara Resources is Australia's largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people.
The Role
The appointee will become part of an industrious and resolute group, overseeing the area process engineering team to assist the business in reaching its safety, production, quality, and financial goals. You will be responsible for:
Leading and mentoring the area process engineering team to identify process excursions early and formulate solutions.
Develop effective systems and procedures to ensure that the relevant area of responsibility is operated safely and at full capacity; within defined process parameters.
Ensure compliance to Management of Change process and timely closeout of approved projects.
The coordination of short and long-term workflows across all areas in line with change management and compliance procedures;
Analysing the performance of our plant against KPIs and implementing action plans for recurring deviations.
Ensure production rates and efficiencies are maximised while consumables are minimised.
About You
An individual who excels at prioritizing tasks and offers a critical approach to problem-solving would be right at home in our busy department. You will also have:
A tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
Significant experience in a similar role in a leadership capacity (ideally with exposure to the mineral processing, chemical or petrochemical industries);
Practiced computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
The ability to communicate effectively to influence outcomes to internal customers and peers;
The ambition and understanding to train and mentor personnel at all skill levels.
