4/3; 4/3; 8/6 days only roster | FIFO from Perth to the Roy Hill Mine Performance, Retention and Profit Share Bonuses Employee travel benefits for FIFO employees – airport parking, flights, accommodation Access to Qantas Points and Status Credits program About the role: The Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) team is currently seeking a Superintendent to join them.
Reporting to the Manager NPI , the Superintendent NPI will lead and manage the NPI team to ensure the effective and efficient operation, maintenance, and development of all NPI assets.
This role is critical in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of infrastructure supporting mining operations.
NPI assets include: Mechanical Assets - Generators, Pumps, HVAC systems, Lube and Fuel systems, Oily water Separators Electrical Assets - Power stations, Electrical distribution systems, 33KV/11KV HV Networks, Solar systems, HVAC systems, Chillers Plumbing Assets - Water treatment plants (RO plants, WWTP), Sewage systems Carpentry Assets - Buildings and structures maintenance, Accommodation facilities Other NPI Facilities - Admin buildings, Mine Village, Aerodrome, Workshops Duties: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Mechanical and Electrical technicians to safely support the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry technicians in relation to mine NPI Assets.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all NPI assets, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to maximize asset reliability and lifespan.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and support of NPI services.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational and financial targets.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPI asset performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise and support for the planning and execution of NPI projects.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of NPI asset performance and maintenance activities.
Skills and Experience: Essential: Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant trade (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Prior experience in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry.
HV network experience.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in Engineering or Management.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Experience with asset management software and systems.
