Flight Centre Travel Group are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Corporate Accounts Payable team. The role of the Accounts Payable officer is to provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the organisation in ensuring timely and accurate payment to our suppliers. The role extends to assisting with the process of verifying and reconcile accounting payables in compliance with financial policies and procedures. This is an entry level role suitable for someone new to accounting or accounts payable. Take the next step in your career with this 6-12-month contract.
Day in the life... Review and process invoices received from suppliers Chase hotels for statements and invoice clients within SLA. Help operational staff and suppliers with queries. Work cohesively with the wider finance team to make sure accounts payable processes are followed accurately Maintain supplier information in the Accounts Payable System Perform, review and manage the entire accounts payable process Interact across divisions, with upper-level management & with vendors Who you are... Basic math and accounting skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required). Attention to detail, Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in financial concepts. Ability to think 'outside the box' and problem solve. Ability to interpret bank statements, supplier invoices/statements and documentation. Highly developed customer service skills to ensure mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, partners and customers. Travel Industry knowledge (Desirable) Accounts Payable or Procure to Pay experience (Desirable) Degree in Accounting/Finance /Commerce (Desirable) What you'll enjoy...
