About the Role
As a Student Welfare Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.
In this vital role, you'll support students' emotional, social, and mental well-being, helping them navigate personal challenges and succeed academically.
By providing guidance, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies, you'll ensure that each student receives the support they need to flourish.

Qualifications
Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
Completed Certificate IV Youth Work; or Completed Certificate IV Pastoral Care; or Diploma or Bachelor in relevant field.
Selection Criteria
Excellent management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments, including managing challenging student behaviours and meeting a variety of social and emotional needs.
Understanding of and ability to implement student support programs.
Capacity to respond creatively to the needs of the school in the social and emotional well-being of students.
Ability to contribute towards the wider school community, to build and strengthen the school's relationship with parents, parish, and community.
Awareness of initiatives and developments in research pertaining to social and emotional learning, and trauma-related behaviours in children.
Other Eligibility Criteria
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
This position involves working with children.
The appointment of successful applicants is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
