The primary focus of this role is the IT administration and end-user support experience of these applications, which requires a deep understanding of the end-to-end student lifecycle, administrative processes across the University related to student administration, and the various systems to support them.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the effective development, integration, operation, and enhancement of our student systems to enhance provision of services to students and staff, extract maximum gain from the University's systems and data to support its strategic ambitions and ensure the accuracy, quality, and efficiency in the provision of data for external purposes.Develop a deep understanding of the administration and operation of the enterprise applications used for student administration and provide relevant support and advice.Support and enhance the student experience by providing support and expertise in information systems in relation to student administration processes.Develop effective data management and control across Student Administration, including guidelines, processes, and procedures for advanced analytics, and services delivered regarding data quality and security.Engage with IT to inform Business Intelligence and analytics technology business requirements, ensuring maximum availability and security of enterprise applications.Undertake complex system and data analysis to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities for the Student Administration office.Conduct regular analysis of student record data and coordinate resolution of data errors to ensure data accuracy is maintained for reporting to internal and external bodies as needed.Proactively contribute to the development, automation and maintenance of business intelligence and analysis reporting, including dashboards and other analytic data assets.Create new SQL queries for the team to use daily and provide systems support to external clients (interdepartmental) where appropriate.Engage with frontline facing teams to develop and maintain student appropriate reports using Power BI.Provide end-user support for the above applications, develop end-user documentation, and conduct end-user training for staff at professional levels.Manage the compliance of Student data by applying TCSI validation rules and ECAF requirements.Assist with administrative and student record updates, referred student enquiries and front counter support as requested by National Lead Student Systems.Qualifications, skills & experienceRelevant degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience.Knowledge of the Higher Education sector including student management systems and the student life cycle.Demonstrated experience in administering enterprise applications and systems including providing support, training and advice to all users.Demonstrated experience in running SQL sequences, data analysis, reconciliations and troubleshooting TCSI errors.Strong IT skills and experience of systems management and student records in a tertiary setting.Experience in data process mapping and analysis including data extraction, querying, cleansing and development and/or maintenance of data models.Knowledge in Government Reporting (TSCI) validation rules, PeopleSoft system set up and Student Administration business processes.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate complex and/or technical subjects to non-expert audiences.Proficient with a variety of analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI, SQL, as well as Office application Microsoft Excel.Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to handle various and multiple functions simultaneously to prioritise tasks and work to achievable objectives.BenefitsGenerous training and development opportunities.Friendly and collaborative working environment.Discounted study at the University.How to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
