Details: As part of the Student Services Team, you will provide targeted support to students who require advice and assistance with student support services linked to their class timetables, access to student advisors and wellbeing supports.
This will include supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs and identifying and supporting vulnerable students and young people at risk of disengaging from education.You will work collaboratively with stakeholders including, students and their families, college staff, as well as government departments, to support positive outcomes for our students.
You will also be responsible for high level contribution to the efficient and effective operation of the student services area and provide advice and information to executives and staff within the college as required.
The Student Services Senior Administration Officer will work closely with the College Senior Executive to manage the operations and provide technical and/or professional support to the college's student services area.The ideal candidate will be resourceful, passionate about working with students and young people and committed to working collaboratively to optimise improved outcomes for the students.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.

For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - DesirablesExperience in an administration role in an education setting.First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training (mandatory in some roles).Warden Training or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and google suite.Knowledge of school specific software including Sentral and Timetable or similar.Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.Selection for this position may be based on application and referee reports only.
