In this role, you will efficiently manage and coordinate the allocation and deployment of resources, including personnel, vehicles, equipment, and inventory, to ensure the safe, cost-effective and timely maintenance of bridges and structures.Key focusesProvide effective and efficient management of the workgroup's resources and activitiesConduct audits of completed work, arrange emergency response and, impose, modify, remove, review and report on speed restrictions as requiredAssist in the management of costs for labour, inventory, consumables, plant, equipment and other assetsManage allocated inventory, plant, equipment, motor vehicles and depots to achieve required availability and minimum asset costsAbout youYou will be responsible for a team of ten Bridgeworkers, requiring strong relationship-building and communication skills to effectively lead your team and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.What you'll bring:Substantial knowledge of bridge and structures construction and maintenance standards and associated costsSubstantial level of skills in prioritising, planning, programming and resource management of structures maintenance activitiesSubstantial leadership, communication, people management, industrial relations and negotiation skillsSubstantial level of skill in the estimation, breakdown and apportionment of costsSubstantial level of skill in the implementation of Queensland Rail's Zero harm philosophySound level of skill in the use of QR and Network computer applications including SAP R3, Microsoft suite and Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS).We look forward to hearing from motivated individuals who are ready to make an impact and work as part of a dedicated team!Your journey matters.
