CGC are currently working with a leading Steel and Heavy Fabrication company specialising in large-scale projects across various sectors. The business is based South of the River and they're renowned for bespoke projects in the Perth area.Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel estimation, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with various teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in estimating.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for structural steel projects, including material quantities and labour costs.Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine accurate pricing.Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements.Review and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.Utilise software for 3D modelling and quantity take-offs.Manage multiple estimation projects and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel estimation.Proficiency in modelling and estimating software.Strong understanding of structural steel materials, fabrication, and construction processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.This role is interviewing now with a view of commencing in January 2025.
