Job Title: Structural Engineer

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the design, analysis, and execution of structural engineering projects, collaborating closely with clients and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet project requirements and exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design and Analysis:

Utilize advanced engineering principles and software tools to design and analyze structural systems, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry components.
Conduct detailed calculations, simulations, and modeling to ensure structural integrity, stability, and safety in compliance with relevant Australian standards and building codes.
Perform site investigations and assessments to gather essential data for project planning and execution.


Project Management:

Manage assigned projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, resolving engineering challenges and optimizing design solutions.


Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents outlining project requirements, design solutions, and recommendations.
Review project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
Present findings, proposals, and project updates to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Implement rigorous quality assurance procedures to verify the accuracy and reliability of design calculations, drawings, and deliverables.
Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and methodologies, integrating best practices into project designs and processes.
Ensure strict adherence to relevant Australian building codes, regulations, and safety standards to mitigate risks and ensure project compliance.


Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to achieve project objectives and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.
Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and interns, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.



Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification/license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in consulting or design firms.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, and AutoCAD.
Thorough understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.
