AIIB's Strategy, Policy and Budget (SPB) Department is responsible for: (i) developing and monitoring the implementation of the Bank's strategic agenda; (ii) developing and overseeing compliance with the Bank's operational policies and procedures for the Bank's infrastructure investment operations (non-treasury), including environmental, social, procurement and financial management; and (iii) developing and monitoring the Bank's annual business plan to implement the Bank's strategies and manage the Bank's administrative budget to support the implementation of the annual business plan.
SPB is recruiting an Associate to support the work of the Corporate Strategy Unit in furthering and implementing the Bank's Corporate Strategy.
In particular, the Associate will support the development and implementation of the Corporate Strategy (CS), including necessary coordination with the relevant working groups and ensuring effective linkage to the annual Business Plan and Budget (BPB) process.
Responsibilities: Support the development of AIIB's strategic agenda, including how the Bank implements the Corporate Strategy through the annual Business Plan and Budget.Analyze relevant information and data to provide timely, high quality and fit-for-purpose insights and reports on key issues, such as macroeconomic matters and infrastructure trends.Provide comparative analysis on similar organizations (peer MDBs and private sector financial institutions) in a systematic manner.Simultaneously support multiple workstreams with data and analytical work.Produce documents, PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials to communicate the CS and BPB both internally and externally.Plan and organize internal working groups, seminars, conferences, meetings, work plans and travel relevant for the Corporate Strategy Unit.Conduct other work as required by the CS team. Requirements: Minimum: Bachelor or Graduate degree in business administration, economics, public policy, development studies, statistics, data analytics and management or equivalent.Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position in a relevant organization which can include a multilateral development bank, investment bank or management consulting firm.Proven ability to conduct research and analysis on policies, sectors, markets and financial information.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience managing, organizing and presenting data.
Advanced data skills are an advantage, along with the ability to translate numbers into high-impact reports.Ability to think independently while working under supervision, collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to a team's work and output.Excellent proficiency in professional writing and speaking in English.Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.A high level of personal integrity, self-motivation, sense of responsibility and genuine commitment to corporate values of the AIIB.
