This role is key to translating strategic insights, policies, and recommendations into actionable plans that meet stakeholder needs.
As integrated water management involves shared responsibilities across agencies, the Specialist will guide the sector toward an aligned, collective direction.
Expertise in strategy and planning, as well as managing complex relationships, is essential for successful collaboration and implementation.About the PersonWe are seeking a strategic thinker to develop and implement frameworks that support integrated water management strategies.
You will design and execute a cohesive strategic approach that aligns with concurrent programs, communicating and influencing effectively to foster understanding of adaptive planning and investment readiness.
Your ability to lead consultation programs, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive high-performing teams will ensure the delivery of collaborative and integrated outcomes.In addition, your responsibilities will include:Leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of integrated water management strategies for South Australia, preparing strategic papers and senior-level briefings to guide decision-making.Building strong relationships with stakeholders, leading consultation programs and ensuring collaborative decision-making across internal teams and external partners.Overseeing monitoring and evaluation programs for strategy implementation, ensuring region-specific approaches and providing annual updates to stakeholders.Supporting the creation of strategic frameworks and pathways for water security, integrating input from communities, Traditional Owners, and key partners.Your success in this role will come from:Relevant qualifications in strategy, science, engineering, or related fields with knowledge of technical, regulatory, and policy requirements.Strong understanding of South Australia's water sector, water resource management, and strategic planning.Proven strategic, analytical, and organisational skills to manage complex issues across multiple stakeholders.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and engage senior leaders.Ability to make strategic recommendations based on data analysis and research.To apply, click 'Apply'.
