What you'll do As our Livestock Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in partnering with producers to supply livestock requirements and meet the Greenstock channel demand. Your focus is in building, retaining and improving relationships with our producers and livestock agents.
As our subject matter expert, with a strong focus on sustainability and animal welfare, help manage our livestock supply chain by keeping up to date with market trends and provide strategic input into pricing decisions.
This role will be key to implementing the Protein strategy, ensuring sourcing and quality standards are met.
Manage and deliver with the team the quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily strategic sourcing operations ensuring supply, quality and compliance requirements, metrics and standards are metPartner with our suppliers to drive value for our producers, Greenstock and customersUtilise data to inform and drive decisions, leveraging Greenstock systems and processes and ensure delivery of livestock in full and on time to specifications, including to Greenstock animal welfare and sustainability standardsManage and keep up to date systems and communications with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, including scheduling, contracting, booking and confirmation of records for payment and supplier engagementOperationalise sustainability and animal welfare initiatives, including coordinating and hosting producer workshopsContinue to look for and share improvements in strategic sourcing and producer partnerships, including building relationships across the red meat industry, Greenstock and the Woolworths ecosystemWhat you'll bring Previous experience in agriculture and sound knowledge of farming / the rural sectorSound communication, interpersonal & stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skillsDemonstrated ability to work to deadlines with tight time constraintsCapability to work individually to achieve the best outcome for the entire teamSound computer skills, able to use data driven decisions for recommendationsExceptional attention to detail, problem-solving and analysis skillsAbility to travel often to our regional and rural locations and partners, including overnight tripsWhat you'll experience An attractive remuneration packageThe opportunity to grow within the groupStrong mentorship and development; an opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest and best minds in AustraliaHybrid working arrangementsGet your Woolies worth through team member benefits across all of our brandsWe'd love to hear from You If you meet a number of the requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
