Job Description About the position:
St Peter's College is seeking an experienced Educational Support Officer – Senior School to join our Diverse Learning Needs team.
The Education Support Officer - Students with Diverse Learning Needs is responsible for providing targeted and specific support under the direction of teachers.
This position is a part-time 12-month contracted position, working (0.85FTE) 37.5 hours per week, 41 weeks of the year.
As the successful applicant you will have:
Hold South Australian WWCC, Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass certificates.
Demonstrated experience as an Education Support Officer, or a like role.
Experience in working effectively, independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated the ability to establish effective working relationships with adults and young people from a range of diverse backgrounds.
Communication skills which are effective in liaising with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated the ability to provide flexible support for students to be independent learners to achieve their individual optimal education outcomes The ability to be able to nurture and contribute to building positive relationships with staff, students and parents to ensure the wellbeing of students A Certificate IV in Education / Education Support (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role Why work for us:
