Storeman / Inventory Controller
Location: Seaford, Australia
 
Company: A leading reputable plumbing company in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Storeman / Inventory Controller to join our team.
 
Job Description: The Storeman / Inventory Control will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to our job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:• Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse.
• Order and prepare materials and tooling requirements for field workers.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Monitor and control inventory levels to minimise wastage and maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Perform regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods.
• Maintain records of materials, equipment, and stock movement.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
 
Qualifications:Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.Knowledge of plumbing materials and equipment is advantageous.Forklift and driver's licence required.Competency in using inventory management software.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Physically fit and capable.Benefits:• Competitive salary package.
